THE BORING PART

There is not much visually to report. They have started the roof, the first load of stone has been delivered and they are getting all the electrical, duct work and plumbing finalized so they can do the foam insulation. Tex and I just drive back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. It is a four-hour roundtrip. I'm hypnotized. I'm tired. My brain has short circuited.

Neighbors drop by all the time when we are out at the house. There hasn't been one time we've been out there that somebody hasn't come by to say "howdy." And, do you know what they all say? Everybody comments on how clean the job site is. Look at this floor. I wouldn't say you could eat off it.....but, for a construction site, it is immaculate. Go back to the photo of the fireplace wall and look at the floor and on into the master bedroom.
Tomorrow, Labor Day, Tex and I may stay in bed all day. Well, maybe Tex won't. I'm thinking he might have to get up to bring me coffee and breakfast in bed.....then my lunch....then my dinner. These old bones are exhausted.
Nervous Nellie
(Please, somebody, tell me why under the last photo, the paragraphs and my sign-off always run together? Why??? This is so maddening.)

  1. Phooey! In my dreams. We ran around all over the metroplex on Labor Day. No breakfast in bed for Nellie.
