Can you spot it?
Can you see it now?
How about in this picture? See it?
It's the front door! We have a Texas Lone Star in the door. I promise.....that is as kitchty as we're gonna get. Is kitchty even a word?
Here it is after the glass was installed. That thang is so heavy it took these two big boys to put it in.
Now, all I need is a doorbell that plays "Deep in the Heart of Texas." Is that the name of the song or is it just a line. (See third or fourth sentence of this post.)
Tex and I did go out to the ranch yesterday to meet with the electrician. Mercy, mercy. It is so hot here. We met at 8:00 AM to try to beat the heat. After four hours I was saying, "I really don't give a flip. Just put a 100 watt bulb on a chain in the center of the room and I'm fine. Oh, and light up the outside like Times Square so I can see the snakes when I go out at night."
Nothing new to show you from the trip yesterday. The metal roof is on the lot waiting to be put on after they paint the trim after I pick out the trim color from a one inch square sample without a sample of the stone we are going to use. Wish me luck!
